THOUGH my physical condition is serious – it affects all four of my limbs, requiring me to rely on a personal assistant for daily activities – I never let my disability define me. My mind is not disabled.

At first, I thought that how others perceive my disability wasn’t the most important aspect of who I am. But I quickly realised this wasn’t the case. After facing many rejections during my job search, it became clear that a rigid mindset can significantly limit job opportunities for the disabled.
