When learning English was fun

MANY thanks to Johan Jaaffar for his comment, “Make learning English fun again” (The Star, June 18; online at bit.ly/star_fun). His fluency in English is a joy to appreciate.

Many of us who are older will recall those days when it was not only fun learning English but going to school itself was also a fun thing. Many of us kids in those days thought nothing of walking miles to go to school.
