Consider exempting security services from SST

ON behalf of residents’ associations nationwide, I would like to appeal to the government for an exemption from the sales and service tax (SST) currently imposed on security services for residential neighbourhoods (non-strata).

Residents’ associations are registered with the Registrar of Societies, and their objectives are to promote community engagement, foster a sense of belonging among residents, advocate for the needs and concerns of the community, organise events and activities for residents, address local issues, respond to the needs of the community and work together to enhance the security and safety of their neighbourhoods.
