Hopes for a great new year ahead

As 2023 draws to a close, reflecting on the year might reveal that not every planned goal was achieved, but we can all take pride in the nearly accomplished tasks, showcasing our determination and perseverance without procrastination.

Personally, six years into retirement, my life continues to unfold with new adventures, a constant stream of learning and daily updates. Living in the AI (artificial intelligence) era is a blessing, offering a wealth of information and learning opportunities if the technology is harnessed appropriately.

My special thanks to The Star, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube and Blogger for providing platforms that have enriched my post-retirement life with versatility and vibrancy.

In the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have adapted to a new normal, while remaining cautious as the virus remains lurking, and occasionally surges, as it has recently. But we know what to do now.

While we strive ardently, it’s crucial to strike a balance between hard work and leisure. This includes maintaining well- being through a healthy diet and achieving work-life equilibrium for a sound mind and body.

Let go of unhappy incidents, learn from the past, and embrace the present.

Appreciate and be grateful for the loved ones who are always supportive and inspiring.

May our beloved country thrive in harmony and prosperity, and I look forward to a year filled with even greater success and abundance for Malaysia.

Stay happy and healthy, and cheers to a happy New Year with a glorious opening!
