THE case of the volleyball coach who slapped his teenage charges should give us pause for thought on the teaching of physical education (PE) in our schools.
This area of education is currently woefully lacking in most government schools, and many are substituting PE classes with other lessons. This shows their abysmal ignorance of the value of games and sports.
