VOTING is the inalienable right of every citizen in a democratic nation. I exercised that right in this country’s first parliamentary general election in 1959 and, God willing, will do so again come Nov 19 for the 15th General Election (GE15).

Memories of the first general election held on Aug 19, 1959 are flooding my mind as I observe the preparations for GE15.
