DESPITE the announcement of a two-week ceasefire in the Middle East conflict, energy experts and analysts worldwide are predicting that oil and gas markets will not be returning to normal anytime soon.

This is mainly due to the damage already done to energy infrastructure in the region and the difficulty in restoring supply chains after weeks of disruption, they say. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that the ceasefire will become permanent.
