THE letter “Future value of education” (The Star, April 3) by Lee Qiao Hui really struck a chord with me. The idea that a university degree guarantees stability clearly doesn’t hold water the way it used to.

But it’s not just that jobs are disappearing – it’s that the “tools” we use to do those jobs are changing faster than we can teach them to our students.
