Silly to make hay over popular votes

I READ with much amusement that once again, after an election, opponents to a duly elected government put their usual spin to the Johor election results where Barisan Nasional (BN) won 40 out of a total of 56 state assembly seats to now establish a stable and progressive state government.

Once again, the spin leverages on popular votes. Here, I do not wish to go onto lengthy explanations over our First-Past-The-Post or Westminister-type election which everyone can Google. I just want to show how silly it is to use the popular vote raison d’être that in an election war, if you did not vote for one party, you are therefore against that particular party.
