Minister must champion the rights of women

I AM a mother of two girls aged five and eight years. Over the past few days, I have been reading about the plight of Loh Siew Hong, a single mother whose three children were taken away from her. My heart just breaks for her because it is deeply painful for a mother to be separated from her children in such a manner.

At one stage, she had no access to them although complete strangers could meet them in welfare homes. What kind of twisted double standard is this? Where is the justice here?
