THE Omicron wave is upon us, and we are not sure when it will peak. The number of cases reported on Feb 16 was 27, 831, the highest ever recorded since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in our country.
The Omicron variant spreads more easily than the original virus that causes Covid-19 and the Delta variant. As observed in the United States, Britain and European Union countries, once Omicron is in the community, it spreads really fast, resulting in a high caseload of patients.
