Importance of vaccination for pregnant women – and it's not just against Covid-19


AS an obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) specialist, I am always having conversations with pregnant women who are fairly open to sharing their physical, mental and emotional journeys from the moment they discover that they’re going to have a baby. They may come from different cultural and religious backgrounds, but the one thing they have in common is their innate desire to do everything in their power to protect their unborn baby.

The first thing I would recommend to them, especially those expecting their first child, is to talk to their doctors throughout the nine months of their pregnancy.
