ONE of the more devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic has been its impact on children. Prolonged lockdowns have seen alarming spikes in cases of child abuse and incest.

Children are one of the most vulnerable groups. And children with disabilities are much more vulnerable than non-disabled peers. And they are much less able to ask for help, especially if the abuse involves caregivers on whom they depend.
