A blind man’s experience


I WOULD like to share my Covid-19 vaccination experience at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur on May 20: For an OKU (orang kurang upaya, or disabled) white cane user, it was surprisingly a breeze. Well-organised and detailed assistance was rendered to us as soon as volunteers noticed my white cane.

My wife and I were unsure if we could be given our injections at the same time as our appointment times were two-and-a-half hours apart. When we arrived at the main entrance checkpoint, however, it was no problem and volunteers quickly guided both of us to the fast lane and subsequently to stations for briefing, consultation, etc. No waiting in queues!
