PLEASE spare a thought for the various private clubs throughout the country that are struggling to cope with overhead expenses, including utility bills, maintenance work and staff salaries. Allowing dine-ins (two per table) and takeaways may sound reasonable on paper, but it doesn’t solve the overhead expenses for most clubs due to lack of patronage.
