Why are we building so many highways?

IS it necessary to keep building new highways in the Klang Valley? The only thing they seem to provide are traffic jams, morning and night.

Let’s think out of the box instead of doing the same old thing.

Why don’t we use taxpayers’ money more sparingly by doing such things as improving already existing public transportation facilities.

For example, improve neighbourhood bus services with more buses so the wait time is less.

Not every neighbourhood has a good bus service and there is room for improvement in most areas.

I hope the present government can do something about the existing transportation system in the Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur.

Please, let’s not create more traffic; there are already a lot of condominiums and apartments being built around new and existing highways that will also contribute to massive traffic jams.

We have to do a proper future traffic forecast study before building any more highways in KL.

Please, let’s be serious about this!
