How did untagged bag get into cargo hold?

SECURITY at KLIA is always a matter of concern for all travelling in and out of our main airport. We see all major international airports have mounted stringent security checks in view of recent airport bombings worldwide.

Update - Malaysia Airports: Untagged baggage incident an isolate case

I boarded a Malindo flight OD 320 on May 17 at 7.30am but the plane did not take off till 9.15am. While waiting we were told that two passengers checked in their luggage but did not board the plane. As such the airline has to remove the unaccompanied luggage. In the course of removing the luggage, the airline staff found a piece of luggage (big yellow suitcase) that was untagged. It was brought into the plane and the crew asked if anyone could identity the suitcase. Apparently no passenger came forward and, as far as I knew, the bag was removed from the plane.

I cannot imagine how such a piece of untagged and unaccompanied luggage found its way on board the plane. May be Malaysia Airports Berhad can throw some light on this serious incident.
