Malays too experienced similar slurs

I WISH to respond to the letter by Dr M.A. Kumar of Tawau (The Star, July 1). I believe that similar slurs were experienced by kids of yesteryears, regardless whether they were Malays or Indians.

Thanks to the farsightedness of my father who sent me to an English school in the 60s, except for the Malay language teacher and an Ustaz, the rest were either Chinese, Indians or Eurasians.
