MINISTER in the Prime Minister’s Department (Legal and Institutional Reforms) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said has commented that the mechanism for appointing the chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is under review.

The proposed improvements are expected to involve making amendments to the Federal Constitution and the MACC Act 2009, and the possibility of a bipartisan parliamentary committee vetting the appointment.
