Animal cruelty is also active online

REPORTS of another incident of cruelty towards animals have surfaced again. This time, a dog was purportedly skinned while it was still alive. What on earth is driving people to such extremes of cruelty, especially to living things that can’t fight back?

Is enough being done to prevent such crimes? Under the Animal Welfare Act 2015, a person found guilty of cruelty to animals is liable to a jail term of not more than three years or a fine of not less than RM20,000 or both.
