Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for August delivery gained 1.20 U.S. dollars, or 1.54 percent, to settle at 79.34 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for September delivery went up 1.43 dollars, or 1.72 percent, to settle at 84.73 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
