NEW YORK, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Friday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, dropped 0.02 percent to 100.845 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1439 dollars from 1.1433 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound climbed to 1.3356 dollars from 1.3348 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 161.36 Japanese yen, higher than 161.05 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar added to 0.8035 Swiss francs from 0.8035 Swiss francs, and it was up to 1.4198 Canadian dollars from 1.4182 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar lost to 9.6436 Swedish kronor from 9.6679 Swedish kronor.
