One killed, hundreds evacuated due to fire at hotel in Dominican Republic


SANTO ⁠DOMINGO, June ⁠19 (Reuters) - One ‌person was killed and nearly ​1,700 tourists ⁠were ⁠evacuated due to ⁠a ‌large ⁠fire at the Viva ​Wyndham ‌Dominicus Beach ⁠Hotel ​in Bayahibe, in ⁠the south-eastern ​end of the Dominican Republic, ⁠local authorities said on Friday.
