UN-backed Haiti mission implicated in four cases of sexual abuse, report shows


PORT-AU-PRINCE, April ⁠2 (Reuters) - United Nations ⁠investigations into four ‌allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse involving members of ​a U.N.-backed security ⁠force in ⁠Haiti last year were "found ⁠to ‌be substantiated," according to ⁠a U.N. report.

The report, dated ​February ‌16, was first reported ⁠by ​the Ayibo Post on Friday.

"All the ⁠allegations were found to ​be substantiated by investigations conducted by the ⁠Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights," the ​report ⁠said without detailing the ​outcome of ‌these cases.
