Kyrgyzstan's tourism sector sees robust growth in 2025

BISHKEK, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's revenue from the export of tourism services reached 1.098 billion U.S. dollars in 2025, up 8.1 percent year on year, according to data released by the country's National Statistical Committee on Monday.

Last year, the tourism industry contributed 3.8 percent to the country's gross domestic product, while gross value added reached 74.4 billion soms (about 850.7 million dollars).

Currently, about 129,000 business entities operate in Kyrgyzstan's tourism industry, said the committee.

The main factors behind this growth include active promotion of Kyrgyzstan on the international stage, the development of tourism infrastructure and improved service quality, the expansion of the geography of tourist flows, the growth of domestic tourism and entrepreneurial activity in the regions, among others.
