Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for April delivery gained 2.71 U.S. dollars, or 2.9 percent, to settle at 96.21 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery added 3.21 dollars, or 3.2 percent, to settle at 103.42 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
