Tanzania's Zanzibar records more foreign tourist arrivals


ZANZIBAR, Tanzania, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania's Zanzibar saw the number of international arrivals increase to 70,186 in December 2023, compared to 57,296 visitors in November, according to the Office of the Chief Government Statistician (OCGS)-Zanzibar Thursday.

OCGS-Zanzibar Head of Services Provisions Division Bakar Khamis Kondo told journalists at the monthly briefing that 638,498 international tourists entered Zanzibar in the whole of last year, up from 548,503 visitors in 2022.
