A multipurpose vehicle was recorded activating a siren and warning lights on a highway, as seen in a viral video circulating recently.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the act depicted in the video is believed to involve offences under existing legal provisions.

The case may also be investigated under Section 170 of the Penal Code if there is an element of impersonating a public servant, which carries a sentence of imprisonment, a fine or both upon conviction.
