TRUE

The Jasin Civil Defence Force (APM) confirmed that they received an emergency call on Thursday (Dec 11) from a resident who spotted the massive reptile near a durian tree behind his house.

Following the report, four members from Jasin APM arrived at the location at 9.52pm.

According to Captain (PA) Mohamad Fairul Asikin Kadir, the reptile was aggressive, complicating the operation.

"The snake acted violently, making it challenging to trap it. However, the team managed to capture it safely," he said on Friday (Dec 12).

The operation concluded at 10.05pm following the successful capture of the reptile.

The python was subsequently handed to the Melaka Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) for further action.
