IT WAS reported that a senior citizen was robbed after a man entered her house on the pretext of asking for drinking water.

Temerloh OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Nasyim Bahron said a 78-year-old woman was robbed after a man pretended to ask for water at her home in Taman Temerloh Jaya.
He said the incident occurred around 5pm on Thursday (Oct 23) when the victim was taking care of her grandchild, reported Sinar Harian.
According to him, the suspect entered the house without permission, pretending to ask for plain water to drink.
"The suspect then snatched a bracelet worn by the elderly woman and also took her mobile phone.
“The suspect pushed the victim, causing her to fall, before fleeing the scene.
"As a result of the incident, the victim suffered bruises and minor cuts on her wrist and swelling on her head," he said in a statement on Friday (Oct 24).
ACP Nasyim said the victim suffered losses of approximately RM1,000.
The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for causing hurt in the course of committing robbery.
"We are actively tracking down the suspect. The public is also advised to be more cautious with unknown individuals," ACP Nasyim said.
