OUR senior citizens are both keepers of traditions and superstitions, and if that involves a belief in "bad luck" and rituals to be rid of it – they can be vulnerable to scammers.

It was said online recently that an 80-year-old woman in Sarawak lost RM30,000 after a team of scammers conned her into believing they could rid her of "bad luck".
