ALL sorts of things can turn up when a person goes fishing: old boots, rubbish and of course, ideally fish. However, sometimes people can and do make rather grisly discoveries.
Recently, a claim went viral online that a human skeleton was found by an angler in Kluang, Johor.
Is there any truth to this?

TRUE
In a statement, Kluang OCPD Assistant Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh confirmed this and said the person came across the human remains near Ladang Tereh Mill.
He said that a police report has since been lodged on the matter and it is being investigated by the Paloh police station.
“The body was in a heavily decomposed state and almost all of its skeleton could be seen,” said ACP Bahrin.
He added that a forensics team found a blue T-shirt and a long-sleeved jacket on the body, but no identification documents.
ACP Bahrin said the body has been sent to Hospital Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom here for a post-mortem and that the case has been classified as sudden death.
