RECENTLY, a photo went viral through WhatsApp and on social media displaying a claim that the Home Ministry is offering a 50% discount on all traffic summonses for a limited period. Is this true?

In a post on its official Facebook page on Tuesday (Nov 29), the ministry said that no such discount is being offered.
“This claim is untrue. The poster has been altered by irresponsible parties.
"The public is advised to not spread false information and get accurate, verifiable information,” it said in the post.
