A series of posts has gone viral on social media claiming that a mother needs funds for her child's surgery at Hospital Tunku Azizah in Kuala Lumpur, as the baby was born without a skull.

In a statement on the Hospital Kuala Lumpur Facebook page on Monday (Jan 3), Hospital Tunku Azizah refuted the claim, saying that there are no children at the hospital seeking treatment because they lack a skull.

"The public is advised not to be fooled by false news like this," the hospital said.

It added that any inquiry can be made by contacting its Corporate Communications Unit at 03-2600 3000.
