GRS to map out GE16 strategy at inaugural annual convention

KOTA KINABALU: The upcoming Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) annual convention will focus on its political strategy, an assessment of development agendas achieved so far, and its focus on the 16th General Election (GE16).

GRS secretary general Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said this inaugural convention, which will be held at the Tun Mustapha Hall in Kudat on Saturday (Oct 17), will also see a six deputy chairpersons’ sharing session.

“This convention is aimed at hearing what our leaders have to say, to discuss our strategy for GE16 as well as reviewing all the development agendas for the people and state in line with our Sabah Maju Jaya initiative,” he said.

He said about 3,000 members from the 26 parliamentary seats, including Labuan, are expected to attend, while those unable to attend can still share their ideas and feedback through the GRS secretariat’s online platform.

GRS, led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, is the main coalition spearheading the state government.
