SERDANG: A steady stream of dignitaries, relatives and well-wishers gathered at the residence of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali at The Mines Resort City in Seri Kembangan on Monday (Sept 28) to pay their last respects.
Her daughter, social activist Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, alongside her sons, Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, received visitors arriving at the family home.
Among the early visitors were the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil were also present alongside other political leaders to offer condolences.
The remains of Dr Siti Hasmah were brought to the residence earlier in the morning following her passing at the National Heart Institute at 9.20am.
Her husband, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, was seen leaving the medical centre shortly after her death was announced.
