PM allocates RM500,000 to help build additional block at SJKC Boon Beng

NIBONG TEBAL: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a Special Allocation of RM500,000 to help build an additional block at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Boon Beng, Bandar Tasek Mutiara in Simpang Ampat, which involves 12 classrooms and other facilities.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek said the allocation is good news from the Prime Minister to help the school and the community continue development efforts that have already begun.

"The entire project is valued at RM8.6mil and certainly this RM500,000 does not solve everything, but it helps the school and the community continue the efforts that have been initiated.

"This is the principle we uphold in education; there are schools that need repairs, some facing a shortage of space, and others requiring better facilities, and our duty is to look into those needs and assist based on what is genuinely required," she said in a Facebook post on Monday (Sept 7).

Fadhlina, who is also the Member of Parliament for Nibong Tebal, said she, along with the Prime Minister's political secretary Chan Ming Kai, visited SJKC Boon Beng to deliver the news regarding the allocation.

She also expressed her gratitude to Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, for continuing to pay attention to the education sector.- Bernama
