KOTA KINABALU: Ranau is rapidly evolving into a commercial hub with growing investor confidence, says Sabah Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Speaking at the opening of a commercial food venue in Ranau town on Saturday (Sept 6), Masidi said the influx of new business ventures establishes Ranau as more than the gateway to Mount Kinabalu.
“The selection of this district as a business location proves that Ranau has a healthy economy and is becoming a focal point for residents and tourists alike,” said Masidi, who is also the state Finance Minister and Karanaan assemblyman.
Masidi said long-term growth hinges on maintaining standards.
“Entrepreneurs must ensure product quality and service standards remain high,” he said, adding that operational standards and customer hospitality are critical.
He added that with the arrival of established commercial brands to the district, local businesses should innovate, compete harder, and consider expanding into other districts.
