Senior citizen found dead in car in George Town


GEORGE TOWN: A 62-year-old man has been found dead inside a car at a parking area in Desa Penang 2, Lebuh Sungai Pinang 7, here.

Timur Laut OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rozak Muhammad said the body was discovered by the public, who notified authorities at 6.59pm.

"Initial investigations at the scene revealed that the victim was a local living in the area.

"Further examination of the body and the scene found no elements of foul play," he said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 3) night.

He said the body was sent to Penang Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The case has been classified as sudden death while investigations continue. – Bernama
