KUALA LUMPUR: Political analyst and content creator Datuk Eric See-To is not an MCA member, confirms party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The MCA president said See-To has never applied to be a member of the party either.
“Although I have invited him to join MCA, he has chosen not to join any political parties,” said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Thursday (Sept 3).
The post came following See-To’s posting on his page calling out the Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general Mohd Hisyamuddin Ghazali who apparently labelled him an MCA member.
See-To said he is not an MCA member and has never applied to be part of the party.
“Dr Wee himself can verify the matter. So, do not make false accusations against me.
“Until today, I have never been a member of any political parties even though I was once appointed as Barisan Nasional deputy strategic communications director to help them,” he said.
See-To ended his post with a tongue-in-cheek remark that, if he were invited to join PKR, he might consider it - before rejecting the offer.
