Buyers of delayed D’Aman Residensi to receive keys soon, says exco member

IPOH: Buyers of the long-delayed D’Aman Residensi Apartment project will be receiving their keys soon following the issuance of its Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC), says Perak Housing and Local Government Committee Chairman Sandrea Ng.

Speaking at the launch of the new phase of Residensi Jati De Meru on Sunday (Aug 30), Ng confirmed that developer outreach and unit handovers are currently underway.

“The developer has contacted buyers to arrange the key handover," Ng said. "Some who have settled their deposits and payments have already received their keys, while the process remains ongoing for others depending on individual requirements."

To expedite the CCC process and relieve buyers after lengthy delays, the Ministry of Housing and Local Government granted the developer a one-year extension to fulfil strata title registration requirements.

Addressing the broader issue of delayed developments across Perak, Ng highlighted that a dedicated state-level monitoring committee has been established to rehabilitate "sick" and abandoned (terbengkalai) housing projects.

Perak recently became the first state to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Housing Department to streamline state-federal cooperation.

"The state government understands the heavy financial and emotional burden these stalled projects place on buyers," Ng said. "For matters under our jurisdiction, we are offering technical facilitation and expediting approvals so remaining bottlenecks can be resolved."

To prevent future delays, Perak introduced an online Housing Dashboard last year. The system allows local authorities and regulatory agencies to track real-time construction progress and intervene early if projects fall behind schedule.
