KUCHING: Seven areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy Air Pollution Index (API) readings due to transboundary haze as of 8am on Thursday (Aug 13), compared to nine areas on Wednesday morning.

An API reading of zero to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy and an API above 300 is hazardous.

The API data is released hourly, based on 68 air quality monitoring stations nationwide. – Bernama
