SHAH ALAM: Two men were trapped in a three-tonne lorry after it was involved in a collision with a 12m container trailer along the Federal Highway near Persiaran Akuatik, Seksyen 13, here on Wednesday (Aug 12).
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the victims, believed to be in their 20s and 30s, were the lorry's driver and assistant.
“Both victims were conscious when firefighters arrived and were found trapped inside the lorry. Firefighters are currently working to extricate them,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Ashrul Riezal said the department received a distress call at 8.53pm and firefighters from the Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene at about 9.01pm, with six firefighters involved in the rescue operation.
