Driver killed after lorry crashes in Kulai


KULAI: A lorry driver has died after the vehicle he was driving crashed on Jalan Senai-Lapangan Terbang here.

Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the incident took place at 8.30pm on Wednesday (Aug 5) after the 42-year-old Malaysian lost control of his vehicle.

"The lorry was heading towards Senai International Airport from Kulai when it landed on its right side," he said in a statement on Thursday (Aug 6).

ACP Tan said the victim suffered head injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and those with information are urged to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Fatin Mohd Radzi at 018-364 9199.
