Kajang cops appeal for help identifying child found along SILK Highway

PETALING JAYA: Police are seeking the public's help to identify a young child who was found by the roadside along the SILK Highway near Aeon Cheras Selatan.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said the district police received a report at about 4.30pm on Tuesday (Aug 4) regarding the discovery of the child.

"The child was found by the roadside along the SILK Highway opposite Aeon Cheras Selatan.

"We are appealing to anyone with information on the child's identity or family members to come forward and assist in the investigation," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Aug 5).

According to police, the child is believed to be about eight years old, measuring approximately 120cm in height and weighing about 30kg.

The child was last seen wearing a black-and-white T-shirt and grey trousers.

Those with information are urged to contact the Kajang district police headquarters at 03-8911 4222, or the investigating officer, Sgt Karunagaran Balan, at 012-244 9414. They may also report to the nearest police station.
