Monday a state holiday for Negri Sembilan, says new MB

KUALA PILAH: Mentri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim has declared Monday (Aug 3) a state holiday.

Ismail, who was earlier sworn in as the state ninth Mentri Besar, said he had received the consent of the state ruler to declare the holiday.

"This is to express our gratitude to all who had participated and worked hard during the recent campaign for the state election," he told reporters.

In Saturday's election, Barisan Nasional won 25 of the 36 state seats while Pakatan Harapan won the remaining 11.
