ACTRESS and singer Daiyan Trisha may be known for her cheerful personality. But she also admits to feeling overwhelmed by life at times.
The 33-year-old said support from her loved ones, along with the courage to speak openly about her feelings, helped her overcome a recent emotional low, Kosmo! reported.
Daiyan previously revealed that she suffered a mental breakdown in 2017 after struggling with personal and career issues.
Daiyan said it took about two to three weeks to recover from her latest difficult period.
“I’m naturally a positive person and always try to look at the good side of things. Maybe that’s why I recovered earlier, but everyone’s experience is different,” she said in a podcast.
Daiyan also encouraged others not to bottle up their emotions.
> Leaving behind a stable job as an electrical technician in Putrajaya was a gamble for Yusuf Jamal Khair but eight years later, the young farmer is now harvesting about one tonne of chillies every month, Harian Metro reported.
The 31-year-old from Kampung Lubuk Pusing in Beruas, Perak, returned to his hometown in 2018 to venture into fertigation chilli farming.
Starting with RM10,000 from his own savings and just 500 polybags, his farm has since expanded to 10,000 polybags covering more than 0.8ha of land.
“I learnt everything myself through YouTube and Facebook because I had no experience.”
Yusuf said assistance from the Perak Agriculture Department helped him expand the business, including a RM50,000 grant in 2023 to upgrade the farm’s infrastructure and a RM30,000 Agropreneur Muda grant last year to purchase fertiliser, coco peat and pesticides to boost productivity.
