SEREMBAN: A second police report has been lodged against Perikatan Nasional election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor here for remarks allegedly made at a ceramah while campaigning for the 16th Negri Sembilan state election.
State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the report was lodged by a 45-year-old man at the Senawang station on Sunday (July 26).
"He lodged a report after reading a story on a portal related to Sanusi's speech at a ceramah in Jempol," he said in a statement on Monday (July 27).

Prior to this, a 40-year-old man lodged a report related to the same matter.
The first report is being investigated under Section 505 of the Penal Code for making statements conducive to public mischief and under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities or network services.
Separately, DCP Alzafny said since Nomination Day, police have received 33 reports related to election offences and have opened 14 investigation papers.
He said they also received 59 applications for ceramah and campaign related activities on Sunday, out of which 57 were approved.

"Since Nomination Day, we have received 499 applications, of which 473 were approved," he said.
He added that police would continue enforcement and ensure compliance throughout this state election.
"The public is advised to continue to comply with the law, respect the democratic process and give full cooperation to the police to ensure the election takes place in a peaceful, harmonious and orderly environment," he added.
Negri Sembilan goes to the polls on Saturday (Aug 1).
