PETALING JAYA: Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said any breach of the law or licensing involving the Network School in Forest City should be investigated, with appropriate action taken if wrongdoing is found.
"If there are complaints, investigate them. I am firm on this. If investigations find any wrongdoing, action must be taken in accordance with the law," he said.
He was speaking to reporters after visiting a landslide site at Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara and Kampung Chempaka here on Monday (July 20).
Gobind said matters involving the school's business licence and premises operations fall under the jurisdiction of the Johor government, while issues related to foreign workers, visas and immigration are under the Home Ministry.
He clarified that the school had been established in Johor since 2024 and had been operating with the full knowledge of the state government, adding that all applications related to its operation were submitted in accordance with the required procedures.
"We in the Digital Ministry have conducted checks and found that all the applications are in order. The Immigration Department has also carried out further checks recently and confirmed that all the applications complied with the required procedures," he said.
The Network School recently came under scrutiny following allegations that Israeli nationals were among its participants.
The authorities launched investigations into its operations and regulatory compliance, but immigration checks later found no evidence of Israeli passport holders at the premises.
