Freedom of Information Bill tabled for first reading in Parliament


KUALA LUMPUR: The Freedom of Information Bill 2026 which has been in the making for several years has been tabled for the first reading in the Dewan Rakyat.

The Bill was tabled for its first reading by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said on Monday (July 13).

It is scheduled for its second and third readings during the current Dewan Rakyat meeting.
